Employability

PEMCYL is promoted by the Regional Government of Castile and Leon’s Department of Family and Equal Opportunities in collaboration with the Santa María la Real Foundation. The programme’s core objective is to help women, who live in rural areas in every province across the entire region, that have difficulties accessing the job market to find work and engage in society.

Who is it for?

The programme is designed for unemployed women in particularly vulnerable circumstances. Participation is open to women who are victims of gender-based violence, migrants and those who have been forced to leave the job market after a leave of absence to care for family members. It is also geared towards women with precarious jobs, those in which the overall calculation of the workday is equal to or less than 50% of the ordinary workday.

When and where does it run?

The initiative, which is free of charge, will reach more than 300 women living across Castile and Leon.

The first round has already taken place with 160 women from the provinces of Ávila, Burgos, León, Salamanca and Valladolid.

The second round will be held between September and December in another nine locations in the provinces of León, Palencia, Segovia, Soria and Zamora.

How will it be implemented?

In this new edition of PEMCYL, priority will be given to individualised service for a personalised and flexible approach through a blended online and in-person format that combines individual and group sessions to facilitate participation.

How will PEMCYL help you?
